Are we allowed to do this?

Hey guys, I'm Rosie, I just started Lacrosse a few weeks ago. Love it so far. I would have played last year, but my mom thinks I'm gonna die (donno why...)

At my high school though, it's not a recognized sport for girls yet (but it is for boys).

I just have one question about sticks; what's the difference between all the different ones? Because my mom is uber cheap, she got me the cheapest one she could get (deBeer Myssy). I like the stick, but I'm just wondering on how big of a difference there is between a cheap one and an expensive one. :D

Cheers.

Hey!

My name's Collette and I've been interested in lacrosse for a long time now. Keyword interested. I've never played, but I really want to learn. Which leads me to my question-how did you all get started? I'm just not quite sure where to begin. My school doesn't have a lacrosse team at the moment, but in the upcoming year there will be. I'd love to be apart of the first team, however I doubt I will be able to since I've never played haha.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Just a question.... What do you think is more important to the game.... Being able to run 3 miles in 25 minutes or being able to catch and throw consistently? Just wondering what you all think, since my coach apparently doesn't think the whole being able to catch a ball thing important....

every time i play a game, i feel really pressured and nervous if i dont play well. i usually dominate the field during practices, but it seems like i can't play the highest potential i have in the games.

i try to relax and tell myself just have fun and do my best. it doesn't reallly work

any advices?

Hey all. My name is Liz and I'm from Massachusetts, and I love lacrosse a lot. I have been playing for five years, and I mainly play midfeild. I've played on a couple of club teams and have therefore been to my fair share of tryouts, but the tryouts for my schools team is coming up and I'm pretty nervous. Since I'm only a Freshman, I have no idea what tryouts will be like and what I should focus on for impressing the coach. My goal is to make Varsity as a freshman, which is a pretty lofty goal because that doesn't happen too often. So, any tips? All feedback would be greatly appreciated.

well that's got to be the most expensive game of lacrosse I've ever played.

Well I broke my new stick, in say about the first ten minutes of the game. Went and sat on the bench and got some one else stick and had that bent in the last quarter. So that will be about 100 quid.

grumble and I got sent off for standing still, 2 fricken minutes for standing still.

some guy was not looking where he was going and ran straight into me!

and yes I am the uy who bent his stick the other week

all donations accepted, I'll try and get pictures posted soon

Hey, hey, hey! I'm Sarah and I JUST joined. I'm going into my 2nd season of lacrosse and I absolutely love it. I play Point and sometimes Goalie on my varsity high school team in Florida and I'm a junior. Yes, Florida...not the ideal place to play lacrosse, but I love it. The sport that is.. I hate it here, but I have to deal. Hoping to go to college up north and play on some team, don't know which yet. If anyone cares, I play with a DB Tempest. It's sweet.

Hey lax lovers!!

I'm new to the community and I'd like to introduce myself.

I'm rebecca, and I've been playing lacrosse since 11th grade. I'm now in my junior year at Lasell College and I'm now a captain here at my school. It's been awesome.
Lacrosse was a relatively new program at my college, so we are still working to develope the program. We did our alltime best last year, we had exactly 12 players......yeah that meant NO SUBS!! It was a challange, but overall we did great!
Next year calls for more freshman and definatly a promising season. It's gunna rock!!!!

PS - my position is basically to follow ball. I'm a wing so I'm always going over the restraining line. But hey, i get the best of both worlds, offence and defence. :o)

If your bored, here's a link to my schools women's lax page
